Heat Pump Electrical · Kitchener-Waterloo
Heat Pump Electrical Connections
We wire heat pumps for homeowners and HVAC contractors across Kitchener-Waterloo — dedicated circuits, outdoor disconnects and panel capacity checks, with the ESA permit handled.

The electrical side of going electric
A heat pump is often the biggest new electrical load a home will ever add. It needs a properly sized dedicated circuit, an outdoor disconnect within sight of the unit, and enough spare capacity in your panel to run alongside everything else.
We work alongside your HVAC installer so the electrical is ready when the unit arrives — and if your panel is already near capacity, we will tell you before the install, not after.

Common questions
Do HVAC contractors hire you directly?
Yes. We regularly do the electrical portion for heat pump installs and are happy to work with your installer or coordinate directly with you.
Will I need a panel upgrade for a heat pump?
It depends on your existing service and loads. We do a load check first; many homes can add a heat pump without a full service upgrade.
Is a permit required?
Yes — the new circuits and disconnect require an ESA notification and inspection, which we handle.
