Automation Services

  • Ensure strict adherence to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. The OESC sets the standards for the installation, maintenance, and safe use of electrical systems in Ontario.

  • We obtain the necessary electrical permits before starting any work, holding valid certifications.

  • We have a solid understanding of instrumentation and automation systems, including sensors, controllers, actuators, and communication protocols.

  • We connect and secure components, routing cables, and ensuring proper grounding and bonding.

  • PLCs are commonly used in industrial automation. Sekey electrical is skilled in wiring PLCs, understanding the requirements for power, input/output (I/O), communication, and programming connections.

  • We are aware of the specific requirements for electrical installations in hazardous locations, as outlined in the OESC

  • We calibrate instrumentation devices accurately and conduct thorough testing of automation systems to ensure they meet performance specifications and safety standards

  • Familiarity with industrial communication networks (such as Profibus, Modbus, or Ethernet/IP) is essential for integrating and troubleshooting automation systems.

  • We adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for working with industrial automation systems. This includes lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other safety measures.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of the instrumentation and automation installations. This documentation includes wiring diagrams, schematics, and any modifications made during the installation.

  • In certain industrial applications, emergency shutdown systems may be critical for safety, we ensure the proper wiring and functionality of these systems in the event of an emergency

  • Schedule inspections with the ESA or other relevant authorities as required. Provide detailed reports of the work performed, ensuring that it meets regulatory standards
